As Nicholas Galitzine prepares to bring He-Man to life in the upcoming Masters of the Universe film, the actor is also taking on a new role: fragrance ambassador. This March, Galitzine was announced as the face of Emporio Armani’s Stronger With You Parfum—a warm, confident scent that just might double as He-Man’s signature fragrance.
From Powerlifting to Power Notes
For Galitzine, preparing to play a muscled-up hero isn’t just about building biceps or growing out his hair—it’s also about understanding the character from the inside out. Surprisingly, that includes scent. “We’ve been talking about whether He-Man would be a Stronger With You guy,” he tells Esquire. “He’s confident, powerful, and has this grounded masculinity—so yeah, I think this fragrance makes sense for him.”
Stronger With You features notes of chestnut, spiced vanilla, and amber. It’s bold and earthy, with a velvety finish that mirrors the intensity of Galitzine’s performance—and his own personal style.
Why Fragrance Is Essential to Galitzine’s Identity
Galitzine considers himself a full-blown “fraghead.” He wears cologne daily, even to the gym. “I think it’s nice to bring a bit of class to the gym,” he explains. “If I’m wearing something that smells great, it makes me feel like I can work harder. There’s a mental shift—it’s like putting on armor.”
“Wearing fragrance is as much a part of my routine as putting on deodorant.”
Though he switches scents from time to time, Galitzine admits he often associates certain fragrances with chapters in his life—or with people he’s known. “When they change their scent, I’m like: Who are you?”
The Armani Connection
What drew Galitzine to Stronger With You? “It was the whole package,” he says. “I’ve loved Armani for a long time—there’s a grounded sensuality to the brand.” On set for the campaign shoot, Galitzine wasn’t just holding the bottle—he was wearing it. “It was everywhere. You spray it once, and it’s already on you. But I wore it intentionally. It just fits.”
Shot by Jonathan Alric and Harley Weir, the fragrance campaign mirrors Galitzine’s performance ethos: bold, assured, and emotionally grounded.
He-Man’s Scent Profile? Probably Vanilla and Amber
Galitzine sees fragrance as a storytelling tool. Though he hadn’t used scent in character development before, he’s now considering it. “I find it fascinating. It could help ground you in who you’re playing.” For He-Man, the transformation from Prince Adam to a sword-wielding warrior could be mirrored in scent—more subtle for Adam, intense and magnetic for He-Man.
“Stronger With You is a pretty good title for a He-Man collab,” he jokes.
Traveling With Cologne, and Scenting the Skies
Whether on a plane or backstage, Galitzine always travels with fragrance. “I’m not a carry-on person—too high maintenance—but scent is the least of my problems to pack,” he laughs. He even wears it mid-flight: “Why would you not want to smell good wherever you go?”
One Exception: One Fragrance-Free Audition
Only once in his life has Galitzine gone without scent. “I was told not to wear fragrance for an audition. I respected it—but I’ve never done it since.”
His Personal Style, From Army Surplus to Armani
Though he’s best known for roles in Red, White & Royal Blue and Purple Hearts, Galitzine’s career has been marked by surprising choices—and so has his wardrobe. He cites jazz icons like Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk as style inspirations. “There’s something about that meticulous, effortless style that I love,” he says.
Collaborating with hair, makeup, and costume departments is vital to his transformation. “The kind of shoes you wear, the texture of the fabric—those things help you become the character.”
What’s Next? Muscle, Myth, and a Whole Lot of Cologne
While he can’t reveal too much about Masters of the Universe, Galitzine is clearly deep in training mode—and fully embracing the fantasy. “He-Man is iconic. It’s about confidence, yes, but also about balance. That’s why fragrance matters—it’s the invisible finishing touch.”
As for his favorite part of working with Armani? “Honestly, it’s the way it makes me feel. Confident, grounded, like I can take on anything. Even Eternia.”
