That answer has finally arrived. This new installment draws inspiration from St. Regis hotels around the world, with each item filtered through Vilebrequin’s signature sunny perspective. The collection features a standout duo of prints: “Family Traditions,” which showcases playful sketches of classic seaside scenes, and “Family Stripes,” a crisp red-and-white pattern that nods to the legendary King Cole Bar at the St. Regis New York – the birthplace of the Bloody Mary.

Shoppers can expect a range of family-friendly pieces, including swimsuits for men and children, chic pareo wraps for women, and thoughtfully designed toys. Among the highlights is a wooden paddle set crafted to be a future heirloom, and an upgraded beach bucket set complete with starfish and dolphin molds and a sturdy shovel sure to delight kids and nostalgic adults alike.

The collaboration also extends to the resorts themselves. Select St. Regis properties will introduce special “Family Meal” experiences, offering three-course poolside or beachside dining. Additional family activities are in the works, aimed at appealing to both older and younger guests. Meanwhile, Vilebrequin’s bold prints will be showcased throughout some hotels, adorning cabanas, lounges, and more, transforming spaces into colorful oases.

This collection marks a clear shift from the classic family beach day, trading the packed car and sandwiches for a taste of high-end travel. For those ready to indulge, Vilebrequin and St. Regis offer a stylish and memorable way to celebrate summer with the whole family.

The post Luxury Family Vacations Get an Upgrade with New Vilebrequin x St. Regis Collection first appeared on Chic Crave – Where Taste Meets Tempo.

Jeff Goldblum rarely gets emotional about clothing, but his custom Wales Bonner suit for this year’s Met Gala managed to move him to tears. In a conversation with Esquire, the 72-year-old actor reflected on his fashion journey, the meaningful details of his Met look, and why this year’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme deserves attention.

Goldblum recounted how, just before his interview, he was overcome with emotion during the final fitting for his Met Gala outfit. Surrounded by designer Grace Wales Bonner and her team, Goldblum felt the weight of their care and dedication in every stitch. “Feeling it and seeing it it’s this fabric that feels so good. It’s obviously so well-done. The buttons, when I buttoned it and unbuttoned it it’s so unbelievable,” he said. The ensemble included a midnight indigo wool-and-silk pinstripe suit, a navy cashmere-and-wool overcoat with a Mongolian-shearling collar, and distinct antique buttons. The finishing touches: a silk bow tie and patent-leather Manolo Blahnik opera shoes.

For Goldblum, personal style is as much about artistry as it is about fashion. He credits jazz icons like Thelonious Monk and Miles Davis for influencing his outlook, noting that style can be both a personal statement and a political gesture. Goldblum’s appreciation for detail, creativity, and history is evident in his collaboration with stylist Andrew Vottero, with whom he has worked for a decade.

This year’s Met Gala theme has prompted Goldblum to reflect on the cultural resonance of tailoring and Black style. He drew connections to his experience working with Oscar-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell on Wicked and praised the celebration of meticulous style and cultural legacy. “I find that inspiring and worth study and deep reflection,” Goldblum remarked.

Goldblum’s own journey with style started in Pittsburgh, where he was captivated by clothing and drawing from an early age. He fondly recalls sketching men’s collars and ties, shopping for standout pieces, and discovering how attire shapes both personal identity and character on stage or screen.

Looking ahead, Goldblum is enthusiastic about attending the Met Gala, seeing friends old and new, and engaging with the night’s powerful theme. “It’s a real event and a spectacle, but I love that it’s about something serious this year. I really think it’s worth supporting and worth shining a light on,” he said.

As for what a Jeff Goldblum–themed Met Gala might look like? The actor envisions a night filled with creativity and freedom costumes as imaginative and unique as his own approach to style, encouraging everyone to embrace individuality.

One of the night’s standouts was rapper Pusha T, who arrived in a double-breasted Louis Vuitton suit that artfully combined luxury and restraint. Pusha T’s ensemble featured a striped burgundy suit adorned with sparkling crystals and finished off with perfectly flared trousers. Despite its shimmer, the look managed to feel understated a notable feat at an event known for its extravagant gowns and dazzling accessories. Surrounded by show-stopping couture, his suit struck a balance between classic tailoring and modern flair, proving that elegance doesn’t have to shout to be noticed. Part of what set Pusha T’s appearance apart was his comfort and confidence. Unlike many red carpet moments where the outfit overwhelms the wearer, Pusha T looked genuinely at ease in his meticulously tailored suit.

As the world prepares for the selection of a new pontiff following the passing of Pope Francis, attention is turning not only to the process of the conclave, but also to the ceremonial attire that will define the next era of the papacy. In Edward Berger’s acclaimed film Conclave, the opulent cassocks of the future pope are depicted as almost mythical garments more couture than mere vestments, capturing both the grandeur and the mystique that surround the Holy See’s traditions.

The clothing of the pope has always been more than just fabric and ornamentation. While the pontiff’s responsibilities include spiritual leadership, international diplomacy, and the administration of the Catholic Church, the visual language of papal dress sends powerful messages to both followers and observers worldwide. Every garment, from the camauro to the pallium, from the zucchetto to the ferula, is meticulously chosen to reflect values, character, and even the political stance of the man who wears them.

Throughout history, papal style has fluctuated between extravagance and humility. Pope Benedict XVI became famous for his vibrant reds, ornate crosses, and iconic footwear, often rumored incorrectly to be Prada. In contrast, Pope Francis favored minimalist, plain white robes and unadorned shoes, embodying his reputation for humility and accessibility. His personal style, once described as “more Uniqlo than Balenciaga,” set a new tone for the papacy and made headlines around the world, even earning him a spot on the cover of Rolling Stone.

When the next pope is chosen, the world’s fashion experts and ecclesiastical commentators alike will be watching closely. Every detail from lace rochets to the shade of the soutane will be analyzed for deeper meaning. Will the new leader lean toward the lavish aesthetics of tradition, or adopt a more understated and egalitarian approach?

The creation of papal garments is a specialized art. For the past two papacies, Filippo Sorcinelli and his atelier, L’Atelier Vesti Sacre, have crafted vestments for the Vatican. Sorcinelli, known for his modern sensibility and connection to both the Catholic faith and the LGBTQ community, draws inspiration from early Christian symbolism. His silk chasubles and intricate robes can take up to 1,000 hours to sew, blending craftsmanship with deep spiritual meaning. The prices range from 1,000 to 7,000 euros, underscoring the value placed on tradition and quality.

The influence of religious vestments has also reached the runways of high fashion. Designers like Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and Balenciaga have all referenced Catholic imagery and papal motifs in their collections. The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Heavenly Bodies” exhibit in 2018 highlighted the enduring fascination with the relationship between fashion and the Catholic imagination, displaying both Vatican treasures and contemporary designs inspired by religious iconography.

This convergence of faith and fashion is not limited to ecclesiastical garments. Even in classic menswear, designers and artists have drawn on the solemnity and symbolism of Catholic ceremony. For many, the visual language of the Church from the shapes of crosses to the cut of a cassock leaves a lasting impression that shapes their aesthetic sensibilities.

As the Catholic Church enters a new era, the next pope’s wardrobe will become a canvas for expressing not just personal identity, but also the spirit of an institution that continues to evolve. Expect a surge of interest in silk chasubles, lace rochets, and the subtle codes woven into every stitch a reminder that, sometimes, what a leader wears speaks as loudly as what he says.

The post The Symbolic Significance Behind the Robes of the Next Pope first appeared on Chic Crave – Where Taste Meets Tempo.

There’s something oddly magnetic about a perfectly worn hoodie the kind that looks like it’s lived multiple lives and still has stories left to tell. For Brian Davis, owner of the vintage menswear store Wooden Sleepers, that magic is captured in a specific garment: a faded red Champion Reverse Weave hoodie from the 1970s. It’s not just another thrift find it’s a character piece, full of attitude, nostalgia, and unintentional edge. Red, Faded, and Full of Personality The sweatshirt in question didn’t come from a curated boutique or an online drop. Davis discovered it at a flea market the kind of treasure hunt that adds instant sentimental value. Its once-bright red has softened into something more subdued, more lived-in. Fraying around the collar, thinning cuffs, and a loose pocket tell the story of a garment that’s seen its fair share of cold mornings, impromptu naps, and maybe even gym classes decades ago. That Iconic Champion Fit Champion’s Reverse Weave from the ’70s has a signature silhouette that’s hard to replicate. Broad and boxy up top with a dramatic taper toward the hem, it gives off serious old-school jock vibes. Davis admits he’s drawn to the “vintage bully energy” of it …

The sweatshirt in question didn’t come from a curated boutique or an online drop.

That Iconic Champion Fit

Champion’s Reverse Weave from the ’70s has a signature silhouette that’s hard to replicate. Broad and boxy up top with a dramatic taper toward the hem, it gives off serious old-school jock vibes. Davis admits he’s drawn to the “vintage bully energy” of it not because he identifies with the archetype, but because the aesthetic is so distinct, it might as well have walked straight off the set of a John Hughes movie.

The Print Makes It Personal Or Not

The cracked plastisol print across the chest spells out “Clarke University” a school Davis has no connection to. And that’s kind of the point. Unlike a Harvard or Yale hoodie, which might invite unsolicited questions about alumni status, Clarke flies under the radar. The ambiguity makes it easier to wear without explanation a relic of someone else’s past, now comfortably adopted into Davis’s present.

And the wear on that logo? That’s not screen printing made to look vintage. It’s the real deal the result of years of laundering and actual life. The kind of authenticity you can’t simulate, no matter how advanced the distressing technique.

Wearing the Past, Intentionally

For Davis, this hoodie isn’t just a comfortable go-to though it is that, too. It’s a thoughtful throwback to his teenage years, reinterpreted through the lens of someone who’s spent over a decade immersed in vintage fashion. What was once a passive part of his wardrobe is now worn with a curator’s eye: for texture, fit, era, and emotion.

He jokes that he may be wearing it too often. But there’s nothing careless about the choice. It’s a look rooted in memory, updated by experience a wearable time capsule.

No Trends, Just Timelessness

There’s no performance fabric here. No logos begging for validation. No nods to the fast-paced world of technical sportswear. Just cotton, history, and a vibe. While some drift toward efficiency, Davis stays rooted in feeling in garments that were made to last and have, in fact, done just that.

Why It Still Matters

Authenticity — True patina can’t be faked.

Nostalgia — A hoodie that reminds you who you were, and affirms who you’ve become.

Craft — Made in an era when durability and design weren’t mutually exclusive.

In the end, it’s not about whether the hoodie is cool it’s about how it makes you feel. And for Davis, that means blending a bit of retro rebellion with deep appreciation. Because while the John Hughes villains may not have been the heroes, they certainly knew how to wear a hoodie that demanded attention.

The post This Hoodie Channels the Spirit of a Classic Movie Villain and That’s the Point first appeared on Chic Crave – Where Taste Meets Tempo.

From lighting to lifestyle, Felicia Hung and Nick Ozemba are redefining how we interact with design. As the co-founders of the innovative lighting label In Common With and the immersive Tribeca retail-meets-hospitality experience Quarters, this dynamic pair have fused their creative vision into something far more than just a showroom it’s a living, breathing style statement.

Since meeting at RISD, they’ve built a brand centered around transparency, collaboration, and craft. Their work blurs the lines between interiors, fashion, and fine art and their personal style is just as considered. Below, they take us inside their wardrobes, their work, and the creative energy that ties it all together.

Fit One

On Nick: Bode jacket, Bottega Veneta shirt, Marni trousers, Eytys shoes
On Felicia: Combine de Filles jacket, Mara Hoffman shirt, Rachel Comey trousers, Dr. Martens shoes

The Origin Story

Nick: When we launched In Common With in 2018, we focused on made-to-order lighting handmade, locally produced, and fairly priced. We partner with studios in Brooklyn, most with fewer than 10 people. It’s about more than just product it’s about how things are made, who makes them, and how they’re experienced.

Felicia: From the beginning, we wanted transparency. We made pricing public on our site, which wasn’t common in the design world back then. That kind of openness is core to how we do things.

What Is Quarters?

Nick: Quarters was never going to be a traditional showroom. We wanted it to feel like someone’s home warm, immersive, and alive. There’s lighting we designed, vintage pieces we restored, furniture we’re now producing, and collaborations with other creatives like Sophie Lou Jacobsen. We even opened a bar and are building a third-floor space with a commercial kitchen and dining room. It’s where home, design, and fashion meet.

Fit Two

On Nick: Bottega Veneta coat and jacket, Jil Sander shirt, Marni trousers and sneakers
On Felicia: Girls of Dust jumpsuit, Ulla Johnson shirt, Eytys shoes

Style Roots

Nick: I think it comes from our love of materials. There’s something fascinating about the texture, the way fabrics are constructed same as our work in design. We couldn’t really afford fashion before the studio took off, but we always appreciated it.

Felicia: Before design school, I didn’t think much about personal style. But learning about form, material, and culture through design helped me express myself through clothing, too. It’s another creative outlet.

Design Meets Wardrobe

Felicia: Our personal styles are kind of in sync we often unintentionally match. We lean into earthy tones and pieces that mix seamlessly.

Nick: I think our style both in clothing and in our work is about intimate, subtle details. You might not notice something right away, but when you get close, it reveals itself.

Fit Three

On Nick: Birrot coat, Marni jacket, Bottega Veneta shirt, Tombogo trousers, Salomon sneakers
On Felicia: Wetheknot jacket, Julia Heuer shirt, Toogood trousers

Style Synchronicity

Nick: We once bought the exact same outfit without realizing it. Then we both showed up wearing it. That was wild.

Felicia: We don’t overthink styling. It’s about functional, well-made pieces that all work together. I can grab almost anything from my closet and it’ll match same goes for Nick. It’s uniform dressing, but elevated.

Fit Four

On Nick: Marni jacket and trousers, Lemaire shirt, Maison Margiela shoes
On Felicia: Vintage coat, Social Call trousers, Rachel Comey shoes

Balancing Business and Friendship

Felicia: Running two businesses together is intense. But we’re like a married couple Nick was even my first husband, sort of.

Nick: In the early days, we worked side by side nonstop. Felicia literally lived in my closet while I had a boyfriend it was a real throuple moment. But we’ve always shared the same vision and drive, and that’s what keeps us strong. No matter how tough it gets, we push through because we believe in this together.

What’s Inspiring You Right Now?

Nick: Too many things. We’re working on six collections at once a mix of new materials, collaborations, and long-term ideas.

Felicia: We’re exploring pattern in a way we haven’t before. A lot of our previous work focused on raw materials. Now, with fused glass lighting, we’re experimenting with colors and visual textures. It’s challenging, but exciting.

Fit Five

On Nick: Bottega Veneta sweatshirt, Assembly shirt, Camiel Fortgens trousers, Ferragamo shoes
On Felicia: Marni jacket and trousers, The Frankie Shop shirt

Pushing Beyond the Familiar

Felicia: Fused glass lets us create pattern in a way we couldn’t before. It’s expressive, and it plays with light in unpredictable ways. The same piece can look completely different when it’s turned on. It’s pulling us out of our comfort zone in a good way.

Nick: The collection drops in May. We’ve been looking at everything from Dan Flavin’s neon installations to the geometric beauty of Gee’s Bend quilts. It’s been deeply visual and hands-on and we’re thrilled about it.

The Forever Outfit

Nick: Probably baggy denim, a tank top, a heavy overcoat, and sneakers. I basically wear that every day. I love a good uniform something I don’t have to think about but still feels good.

Felicia: I’d go with a heavy cotton jumpsuit, a loose tee, comfy sneakers, and a thick jacket. Simple, strong, and versatile just like our approach to design.

The post Five Fits With Felicia Hung and Nick Ozemba The Creative Duo Behind One of NYC’s Most Intriguing New Stores first appeared on Chic Crave – Where Taste Meets Tempo.

Navigating the modern job interview wardrobe can feel like trying to hit a moving target. The old rules suit and tie, polished shoes, briefcase in hand still exist, but they now share space with more relaxed dress codes, blurred by startups, creative agencies, and casual Friday culture. So, what do you actually wear when you’re trying to make a good impression, without showing up looking like a time traveler from 1987? Here’s a practical guide to dressing right not rigidly for your next interview.

The Interview Suit: Still a Strong Contender

Yes, suits are still relevant. They just need to be chosen and styled with care. The key is dressing appropriately for the role and environment you’re aiming for polish, not costume.

Choose the Right Suit

Navy is your safest bet flattering on everyone, modern, and professional without being too stiff.

Charcoal gray also works, especially for finance or formal corporate roles, but it can feel a bit dry if not styled well.

Avoid black unless the role is in security, hospitality, or events. Black suits tend to feel too somber and can read as evening wear or funeral attire.

Think Beyond the Fabric

Worsted wool suits are standard, but under office lights they can be a bit shiny. Consider matte-finish weaves like flannel or hopsack if you want to look less like you’re headed to a board meeting in 1992.

Pair With Timeless Staples

Shirt: Crisp white or pale blue button-down. Keep it ironed. No trendy patterns.

Tie: Go for something textured like a grenadine. Avoid loud colors or novelty prints. A four-in-hand knot is slim and classic.

Shoes: Black cap-toe Oxfords are reliable. Polish them. Socks should match the suit not make a statement.

Accessories: Keep them subtle. A tasteful watch is fine. Leave the pocket square, tie bar, or lapel pin at home unless you’re certain it’s welcome in the culture you’re joining.

The Suitless Approach: How to Dress Smart Without Going Formal

Not every job or industry expects you to wear a suit. Creative fields, startups, and certain tech companies often lean into a more relaxed approach. But showing up underdressed still sends the wrong message. There’s a sweet spot between casual and sloppy and hitting it is crucial.

Think “Suit-Adjacent”

This means structured, intentional pieces that borrow from tailoring but don’t scream “corporate.” A chore jacket, blazer, or overshirt paired with well-fitted trousers can carry just as much authority with a bit more personality.

Key Pieces for the No-Suit Interview

Top layer: Wear a blazer or chore coat the third piece is essential to elevate the outfit beyond just shirt and pants.

Pants: Trousers in a coordinating but not matching color to your jacket. Avoid denim or anything with excessive texture.

Shirt: A knit polo or button-up with a collar. Stay away from T-shirts even high-end ones and never wear just a shirt and tie without a jacket.

Shoes: Loafers or sleek leather derbies. No sneakers, no matter how “clean” they are.

Try a Tonal Look

Dressing in shades of the same color like navy, smoky gray, or olive creates a refined look without requiring the rigidity of a traditional suit. It also helps make your outfit look intentional and put-together.

Other Considerations That Matter Just as Much

Fit matters. Whether you’re wearing a full suit or a jacket and pants, make sure everything fits well. Tailoring is your best friend.

Grooming counts. Clean nails, neat hair, and tidy facial hair go a long way. Looking polished is part of the deal.

Plan ahead. Try your full outfit on the day before. Nothing throws off your confidence like discovering a stain or missing button an hour before your interview.

Dress to Align, Not to Distract

Your goal isn’t to be the flashiest person in the room it’s to show respect for the opportunity and demonstrate that you understand the company’s culture. When in doubt, err on the side of formality you can always dress down later once you’ve landed the job.

Remember, being polite, punctual, and prepared matters more than the color of your blazer but your outfit can still help seal the deal. Dress with intention, and let the rest of your preparation do the talking.

The post How to Dress for a Job Interview Without Overthinking It first appeared on Chic Crave – Where Taste Meets Tempo.
